Tell us about your involvement with FFA. I compete in the companion animal science Career Development Event and parliamentary Leadership Development Event, and I am vice president of our chapter.
What has FFA taught you so far? Always be open to new ideas and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. There are lots of super cool people just waiting to give their input to improve the chapter or events. FFA is one of the first “big” roles I have taken on throughout my schooling, and I am so incredibly happy I decided to try something new.
How do you intend to stay involved in ag after your FFA career? I plan to continue learning about agriculture and teaching not only myself but others as well about the industry. I would also like to own a hobby farm later on.
What are you involved in outside of FFA? I am president of the Osakis Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence group, vice president of National Honor Society, and I play softball.
What is something people need to know about FFA? There are so many different opportunities in the ag industry. Even if you do not want to be directly associated with farming, there are many other ag-related fields that might pique your interest. Don’t be afraid to try it out and see what you might like.
